Yard One join Philipp Priebe’s Stólar with their latest material, the original mix of ‘Time Capsule’ leads the way with ethereal textures, oscillating synth hooks, entrancing synth licks and snaking subs. Berlin’s Rising Sun delivers his Re-Edit of ‘Time Capsule’ next, as the name would suggest shuffling the original into his own unique twist on things, bringing additional bass grooves and subtle nuance into play throughout.
Up next is ‘Coastal Breeze’ which shifts focus over to sun-drenched deep house courtesy of airy pads, choppy chords, bumpy bass stabs and gritty drums. Philipp Priebe’s ‘Baltic Sea Reshape’ of ‘Coastal Breeze’ follows and offers a more stripped-back interpretation with low-slung drums and intricately processed elements of the original’s melodious parts. Title-track ‘Shifting Sands’ then wraps things up, nodding towards more classic house sounds via delayed stab sequences, looped piano lines, resonant swells and crunchy 909 drums.
